Sheila Morris Ijames

Sheila A. Morris Ijames, 71, of Owensboro, was surrounded by her family as she went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2014. Sheila was born in Daviess Co. on June 4, 1943 to the late Jasper and Ruby Crabtree Ijames. Sheila was a woman who never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was a cook for a living and worked at Foodland, Moonlight, and River Valley. Most of all she loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, William Ijames, Larry Wayne Ijames, Lee Tyler Ijames, and James Robert Ijames; and a sister, Nellie Greer

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Stacy (Benny) Whitehead and Sheila Payne (James Trulock); grandchildren, Brandon (Gloria) Whitehead, Benji Whitehead, Sarah (James) Payne, and Chris Payne, 3 great grandchildren; and brothers, Charles Ijames, Richard Ijames, and Jasper "Buddy" Ijames.

A service for Sheila will be held 10 am Wednesday November 5, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 until 8pm on Tuesday and after 8:30 am on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Brushy Fork Cemetery.
