Shawn Marie Johnson

Shawn Marie Johnson, 45, of Owensboro passed away June 14th, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born October 9, 1970 in Owensboro, to George Allen Hicks Jr. and Carol Roberts, Shawn attended Owensboro Sr. High School, earned her GED as valedictorian, played the trumpet with the band, was a cheerleader, and straight A student. Most recently, Shawn was a manager at Rent-A-Center in Owensboro and excelled at anything she set her mind to. She was smart, witty, loving and kind. Shawn was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her children and grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Jordan Anthony Lee; grandfather, Dorsey "Bo" Carlton Bohannon; grandmother, Veronica Hicks.

Shawn is survived by her children Korina Lee, Myles "Christian" Lee and Parker Lee; granddaughter Kaidyn "Lil' Monkey" Holloway; mother, Carol Roberts; father, George Hicks, and dad, Mark Roberts; sister Tammy Hicks; and brother, Gregory Hicks.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. June 18, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 5-8:00 p.m. Friday and after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
