Sharroll Ann Simon Worth Browning

Sharroll Ann "Sharri" Simon Worth Browning, of Utica, Ky. passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System surrounded by her family. Sharri fought a courageous four-year battle with cancer and never lost her faith in God. She was born on March 9, 1958 at Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital and spent her early years of life in Calhoun, Ky. moving with her parents to Owensboro at age twelve. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Cecil Ferguson of Lamar, IN and her paternal grandparents, Haynes and Mary Lee Simon of Calhoun, Ky. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and a 1976 graduate of Apollo High School. Sharri was also a member of the first graduating class of Registered Nurses at Kentucky Wesleyan College. She was a wonderful registered nurse and thoroughly enjoyed the 32 years she worked in Labor and Delivery at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was a country girl and loved all animals, especially her three registered quarter horses. She enjoyed barrel racing, trail riding. and working in her flowers.

Survivors include her loving parents, John Harroll and Pearl Ann Ferguson Simon of Owensboro, her beloved three sons, Derek Tyler (Elizabeth) Worth of Owensboro, Drew Simon (Sarah) Worth of Reynolds Station, and Caleb Joseph Browning of Utica, Ky., and her grandchildren, Kegan Carter Worth, Parker Owen Worth, and Avery Elizabeth Worth, and a guardian son, Logan Stewart, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 25, at Owensboro Christian Church with Rick Grover officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:00-10:30 A.M. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Caleb Browning Scholarship Fund, c/o B.B.& T. Bank, 2800 Frederica St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301 or any B.B.& T. location. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
