Sharon Tevault Leucht, 76, of Owensboro passed away peacefully Monday, March 18, 2013 at her home. Born in Evansville on October 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Elsie Heath Tevault and was a member of St John United Methodist Church. Mrs. Leucht was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She always put her family's needs before her own. The perpetual optimist, she always found the silver lining. She enjoyed volunteering, especially with special needs children, at schools, and in her later years, with seniors.
Surviving are her children, Sherry (Randy) Hayden of Maceo, Dr. Brett (Vickie) Leucht of Louisville, and Blake (Teresa) Leucht of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Mallory Leucht, Wesley Hayden, Elizabeth Kuntz, Warren Hayden, and Sam Leucht; a great-grandson, Makaio; sisters, Sue (John) Schultz of Morristown, NJ and Janie (David) Mullen of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Mrs. Leucht's caregivers, Duffy and Vanessia; her home nurse, Lynette, and to Dr. Michael Jarvis for his loving care.
Services are 12 noon, Friday, March 22, 2013 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Myke Templeton officiating followed by burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
