Sharon Lee Hill

Sharon Lee Hill, 78, of Owensboro passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born February 16, 1946, to the late Milton and Golda Shaver Crowe. Sharon graduated from Daviess County High School, class of 1964. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and loved the Lord. Sharon worked as a beautician and at several factories before being employed at Commonwealth Aluminum from which she retired in 1996. She loved flowers, gardening, the beach and dolphins. Sharon was spunky but caring and thoughtful. She loved her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Poppy” and was very “hands on,” doing crafts with them and being there for their sporting events. Sharon enjoyed camping and fishing at Windy Hollow. She had a great work ethic and whatever she did, she did it with all her heart. 

 In addition to her parents, Sharon also was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Marie Crowe Bennett and brother, Milton Crowe II. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Brad Hill and his wife Ericka of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Evan Jones, Paige Taylor (Jacob), and Mary Grayce Hill; her Yorkie, Willy; several nieces and nephews. 

 The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
