Sharon Griffith

Sharon Griffith, 53, of 2957 Legion Park Drive, Owensboro, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at her home. She was a home health caregiver who enjoyed helping people and sitting with the elderly. She liked to play bunko, go shopping, getting her hair done and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church.

Two brothers preceded her in death, Scott Welch in 2001, and James Welch in 2006.

Surviving are her husband, of 15 years, Charles Griffith, children; Stephanie (Derrick) Aull, Lisa (Keith) Taylor, Mike and Brian Griffith, Melissa (Chris) Ashby, all of Owensboro, Jason Quick of Louisville, and Chuck (Brenda) Griffith of Kansas, her mother; Ruby (Herbert) Worth of Owensboro, father: Robert Welch of Hartford, a sister; Norma Welch of Owensboro and grandchildren; Candace, Haley, Madison Taylor, Caitlyn, Trevor Aull, Brittany, Brandon, Jordan, Jacelyn, Jaden Griffith, Bryce Quick, Ashton and Preston Ashby, a nephew; Steven Haynes and a great-niece; Emily Morgan Haynes.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Farrell Isenberg officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
