Sharon Rita "Nana" Cox, 65, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at her home. She was born July 1, 1952 in Daviess Co. to the late George Oliver and Bertha Ellen Nix Payne. Sharon was a homemaker and had attended St. Stephen Cathedral. She was like a Mom to everyone. Sharon was also preceded in death by her daughter, April Briones in 2013, three sisters, Shirley Basham, Mary Shepherd, and Brenda Sue Payne, and two brothers, Roy Irvin and Ivan Jewell Payne.
Surviving are her son, Herbert (Kirsten) Cox of Owensboro, six grandchildren, Brenda (Jonathan) Riley, Dakota Briones, Christian Briones, Miguel Aguilar, Hayden and Haley Cox, all of Owensboro, a great grandchild, Ace Riley, a sister, Ruth Daniel Puckett of Owensboro, a brother, Jerry (Ruth) Payne of Louisville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
