Shaelyn Brooke Chappell

Shaelyn Brooke Chappell, 24, of Utica, Kentucky whose fierce and spunky spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her; passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength.

Shaelyn was truly one of a kind. She had a bold personality, a sharp sense of humor, and a laugh that could light up any room. Hilarious, driven, and endlessly capable, she possessed a work ethic that set her apart and a determination that allowed her to accomplish anything she set her mind to. Shaelyn approached life with confidence, grit, and heart and she inspired those around her to do the same.

More than anything, Shaelyn was deeply loved. She valued her family fiercely, cared deeply for those close to her, and shared a special bond with her beloved fur baby, Ween, who was always by her side.

Shaelyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Dorthy and Oscar Chappell.

She is survived by her parents, John and Laura Chappell; her sister Skylar (Nolan) Mattingly; brother Colton Chappell; her grandparents, Judy and Sharon Williams, and John and Lynn Powers; and great grandparents, Laura Baize and Rosie Williams along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Though her time here was far too short, Shaelyn’s impact was immeasurable. Her strength, humor, and vibrant spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
