Seymore Mayes

February 17, 1942 — September 7, 2002

Seymore Mayes, Jr., 60, of Calhoun died Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Muhlenberg County native was retired postmaster of Livermore and a retired Realtor. He was an Air Force vertan and retired from the Army Reserve and was Pentecostal. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Lamb Mayes; a son, Leslie Mayes of Owensboro; three daughters, Reginia Ann Payne, Anita Marie Bozarth and Angela Renee Wedding, all of Calhoun; eight grandchildren; a brother, Archie Lee Mayes of Hammond, Ind.,; two sisters, Lillie Myrl Barnett and Brenda Sue Ward, both of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Wednesday, September 11 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Calhoun Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-8 P.M. on Monday, 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday.
