Seth Hulsey

Seth Hulsey, 39, of Philpot, passed away on November 27, 2024, at his home following a tragic accident. Seth was born in Seoul, South Korea, on April 4, 1985. On July 26, 1985, fondly remembered as his "Airplane Day", he entered the loving arms of his parents, Drs. Thomas and Carol Rightmire Hulsey.

Seth was a proud graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. He furthered his education at Western Kentucky University, earning a Marketing degree. An exceptionally intelligent individual, Seth found his career niche in data analytics, starting off at UniFirst and later working for the PPL Corporation, focusing on supply chain analytics.

A man of many talents, Seth had a natural affinity for technology; he loved programming and took great joy in building computers, always staying ahead of the latest technological advancements. An avid gamer, he enjoyed video games from every generation, finding joy and challenge in virtual worlds. An artist at heart, Seth deeply appreciated comic book art and loved creating his own illustrations. He was also a gifted pianist who loved playing for his family. His dry sense of humor and quick wit could light up any room, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

Seth cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his nephews, whom he loved to spoil. He delighted in sharing his passions for technology, art, and video games with them, creating lasting memories. During his father's illness, Seth took unwavering and tender care of him, demonstrating his deep love and commitment to his family.

Soft-spoken and infinitely patient, Seth was, above all else, a kind person to all he encountered. His gentle demeanor and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Hulsey, and his maternal grandparents, David and Rita Rightmire.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Cate Coakley (Jeremy); brother, Jacob Hulsey (Natalie Craven); nephews, Alexander, Zachary, and Jerry Coakley, and a large and loving extended family.

The funeral Mass for Seth Hulsey will be at 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at the church.
