Scotty L. Ford

Scotty L. Ford, 53, of Owensboro passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home. Mr. Ford was born October 7, 1965 in Owensboro to the late Jimmy H. Ford and Barbara Evans Ford. Scotty was a witty, fun-loving and outgoing family man. He was also a hard worker who was employed at Ernie Davis as an Industrial Plumber. Scotty enjoyed traveling and spending time on a house boat at Dale Hollow Lake. When he wanted to unwind, he would watch movies and his favorite TV shows. Scotty and his wife, Tonya were big UK fans and attended Big Blue Madness every year.
Scotty was preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Lynette Ford, in 2017; father, Jimmy H. Ford; and brother, Jeffrey H. Ford.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Mindy Lawrence; son, Colton Ford; grandchildren, Keelin and Bentley Lawrence; parents, Jim and Barbara Evans Belcher; sisters, Cindy Jarboe (Alan) and Sherri Schmidt; nephews, Aaron Jarboe, Corey Schmidt, and Jordan Ford.
A memorial service will 2:00 pm Monday at Good Shepherd Church with Pastor Kirk Steele officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens at a later date.
