Scott A. Mayes, 48, of Maceo, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was born September 7, 1968 in Owensboro.
Scott retired from Kentucky Department of Transportation after 28 years of service on the bridge crew. He enjoyed U.K. Basketball, hunting, and boating on the Green River. Scott was a generous and hospitable man. He had a big heart and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ann Mayes King in 2000 and step-father, Alvin David Vance.
Scott is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Tammie Mayes; his mother, Charlotte Vance of Calhoun; his father, Joseph W. Mayes and his wife, Sharon of Sacramento, CA; step-daughters, Angela Workins and Jennifer Smith, both of Sebree; and nieces, Brandy King of Calhoun and Taryn Crabtree of Louisville.
A private memorial service will be held at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
