Sarah Adeline McCall Trogden, 91, of Maceo, passed away Thursday, July 11, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1932, to the late Ezekiel William Sr. and Nettie Josephine McCall. Sarah was a member of Lewisburg Presbyterian Church. She dedicated her life to her family and built her life around them. Sarah enjoyed watching TV, especially UK Basketball, decorating, playing video games with her grandchildren, traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and made the best macaroni and cheese and banana pudding. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her family most of all and was very proud of her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Trogden Sr.; daughter, Patricia Trogden; son, James Trogden Jr.; brothers, Ezekiel McCall Jr., Thomas Pink McCall, Benjamin McCall and Joseph McCall; and sisters, Anna New and Nancy Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sandra Coleman (Steve), Mark Trogden (Dorothy), William “Bill” Trogden, and Jeff Trogden (Anita); sister, Margaret Wooten; daughter-in-law, Irene Trogden; as well as 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Sarah will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 16, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
