Sarah Ruth Cooper

Sarah Ruth Main Cooper, 87, of Hayden Road, Owensboro, passed from this earth to be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Thursday, October 29, 2009.She was born in Daviess County to the late S.P. and Rose (Ralph) Main. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Her husband, John Eugene Cooper preceded her in death. Mrs. Cooper was the spiritual leader of her family and devoted her life to her children's happiness. She enjoyed watching church on television and U.K. basketball, cooking and camping.

Survivors include her children; Patricia (Philip) Hodges, Jan (Gary) Adams, Ann ( Randy) Elder, John E. "Gene" (Linda) Cooper Jr., Robert A. (Brenda) Cooper, all of Owensboro, Bill E. (Ruth Ann) Cooper of Frankfort, Kentucky, a brother; Billy Main, and sister; Frances Grayson of Owensboro, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Jerry Ford officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
