Sara Ghee Thomas

Sara Ghee Thomas, 70 of Carrollton MO., died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly, MO., She was born in Owensboro to the late John W. and Sara Ghee (Cary) Miller. Ghee was a former teacher and dance teacher, who loved dancing, quilting, singing and meeting new people. She was active in the Women's Club and American Cancer Society in Carrollton, MO. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles "Chuck" Henke April 19, 2010, and husband, David Thomas on August 19, 2011.
Surviving is her daughter, Ghee Mason and husband Mike Johnson of Owensboro, stepchildren, Julie Thomas (Mark) Wolfe of Marshall, MO., Dudley David (Pam) Thomas IV, of Shawnee, KS. and Stephen Thomas, of Kansas City, MO., a grandson, Chase Mason, and step-granddaughters , Lauren and Larkin Johnson of Owensboro, and step-grandchildren, David Thomas of Shawnee, KS., and Lisa Thomas Wolfe and Laura Haynes, both of Marshall, MO.
Funeral services will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation after 4 p.m. Friday. Entombment will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
