Sara J. Carrico

Sara J. Carrico, 49, of Lewisport, passed away May 8, 2015. She was born July 9, 1965 to the late Frankie Sr. and Alice Horn. Sara worked at Bishop Soenneker Center doing housekeeping. When Sara wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time in a garden. She also enjoyed horses, raising chickens, doing crafts, and going to the racetrack. Most importantly, Sara loved her family and friends and was like a second mother to her grandkids.

Sara was preceded in death by two sisters, Penny Horn and Judy Gale Horn, and one brother, Denny Horn

She is survived by her husband and companion for 30 years, Jim Carrico; children, Mellisa Marie Douglas (Matt) and Gregory David Shock (Jamie); grandchildren, Haylee, Robbie, Hunter, Emma, Heather, Dixie, and Samuel; brother, Junior Horn (Roxie) and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday and after 9 Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the family in care of Jim Carrico.
