Sandra R. Miller, 74, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2026, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born January 28, 1952, in Maceo, KY to the late Robert and Pearl Duncan Edwards. She graduated from Daviess County High School and has been a longtime member of Owensboro Christian Church. Sandra married Houston Miller in 1975 at the Maceo Christian Church.
Sandra loved her kids and grandchildren. She kept tabs on the family from her phone using the Life360 app. She loved her animals, Ollie the black German Shephard, and cats Hank and Henry. Sandra enjoyed sewing clothing and thrifting at Goodwill and garage sales. She was a shy person but was very excited to have been a caretaker at Daviess County Fish and Game for several years. Sandra worked for 26 years as a transcriptionist for Physicians Eye Center Ophthalmology.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Edwards.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 51 years, Houston Miller; sons, Daniel (Hayley) Miller, and Aaron Miller; daughters, Jennifer (Ryan) Edge, and Laura (Brandon) Johnson; 7 grandchildren, Madeleine Edge, Makayla Johnson, Aiden Edge, Lilly Edge, Nate Edge, Hadleigh Johnson, and Max Miller; and 1 sister, Mary Katherine Woodward.
The funeral service for Sandra will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Mike Templeton officiating. Burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12 from 1-5 p.m. and again on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
