Sandra Sue Jackson, 63, of Owensboro, KY, died November 18, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Ohio County to the late Roy Albert and Irene Seaton Young, was a member of Little Flock House of Jesus Christ Fellowship, and had been a CNA at Hermitage Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, decorating her house, celebrating holidays, and protecting her beloved living room. She was friendly and kind, a great neighbor and loved her dogs.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughters, Rebecca Jackson and DeAmra Williams; and by her half sister, Gena Mae Daughtery.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Ray Jackson, Sr., children, Ray Jackson, Jr. (Sharon) of Herndon, Daniel B. Jackson of Owensboro, Steven Hamilton (Tammy Jean) of Panther, Eddie L. Smith (Kim) of Centertown, Clifford D. Jackson (Jamie), Tammy Lynn Singh (Binder), and Viva Dawn Boling (Ronnie) all of Owensboro; sisters, Shirley Roberson (Elvie) and Carolyn Jewell; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Family Services. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Daviess County Humane Society.
