Sandra L. Estes

Sandra L. (Joines) Estes, 73, of Rockport, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Beechmont, Kentucky to the late Leo Joines and Wanda Joines Farmer.

Sandra was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was an animal lover who especially enjoyed cats, dogs and birdwatching.

Sandra was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry McMahan in 2013.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William "Nick" Estes; a son, Richard Estes (Tina) of Rockport; a daughter, Sheila McMahan of Owensboro; another son, Sam Estes (Angel) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Justin, Chase and Zachary Estes, Maggie Nicely, Logan Ryan, Jon Richardson (Natalie), Trevor Jackson and Jessica Blake;
Great grandchildren, Jordan, Jillian and Caden; a sister, Becky Phillips of Bremen, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 12 PM on Thursday, February 20 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Myke Templeton will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday and after 10 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
