Sammy Ray Riley, 53, of Lewisport, passed away July 13, 2017 from a motorcycle accident. He was born October 9, 1963 in Daviess County to the late Robert Sr. and Anita Vincent Riley. Sammy was a mechanic for the city of Owensboro for 15 years. He had a heart of gold. Sammy enjoyed motorcycles and had a special place in his heart for all his grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by uncles, Jimmy Riley and Bill Riley and aunts, Wanda Goins and Ann Newton.
Sammy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Riley; children, Amy (Jason) Riley, Joey (Rebecca) Riley, Sammy (Jessica) Riley Jr.; grandchildren, Aaron Michael Wheatley, Kaylee Riley, Ansley Riley, Gracelyn Riley, Liam Riley, Maddi Rearden, Avery Vaught and Brennen Vaught; brother, Robbie (Dorothy) Riley; sisters, Verda Riley and Linda (Terry) Sparks; uncle, Sam (Pam) Riley, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lewisport Cemetery.
