Sam J. Lane

Sam J. Lane, 87, of Owensboro, died March 9, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Daviess County native was born August 11, 1918 and he retired from the Owensboro School System.
Preceding him is death was his wife, Nina Morrison Lane, in 1995.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Joyce Lane, of Lexington, his granddaughters, Andrea Mrs. Melvin Dean III of Nicholasville and Emily Anne Lane of Lexington.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. James K. Byrd officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 12 from 2:00 until 5:00 and Monday from 1:30 until service time at the funeral home.
