Ruth Ann (Nation) Yeiser, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. She was born on July 4, 1956 to George “GW” and Clara “Neal” Nation.
Ruth Ann dedicated the majority of her adulthood to creating a loving, nurturing home as a stay-at-home mother, always prioritizing the care and well-being of her children and grandchildren. Earlier in her life, she also shared her patience and compassion through her work assisting in special education and preschool classrooms. She enjoyed sewing items for the home and for missions abroad.
Her heart truly belonged to her family and her faith. In her recent years, she was a devoted and beloved member of BridgePointe Church. Previously, she shared her musical gifts by playing the piano for her church family at Owensboro’s First General Baptist Church for over 30 years, filling the sanctuary with praise and worship. Her legacy of faith, devotion, and unconditional love will continue to resonate deeply through the lives of everyone she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Clara “Neal” Nation; her sister-in-law, Terri Nation; her daughter-in-law, Ami Yeiser, mother-in-law Voyne Yeiser; father in-law, Robert Yeiser; sister in-law, Cindy Yeiser; and great-granddaughter, Emma Ruth.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob, her loving father George “GW” Nation; sister, Gina (Steve) Cripps; brother, Donnie Nation; and her three cherished children, Traci (Perry) Weedman, Aaron Yeiser, and Brandon (Courtney) Yeiser. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her grandchildren; Mackenzie (Cody) Skaggs, Courtney (John) Spalding, Logan (Ally) Weedman, Hagan (Paige) Yeiser, Hope Yeiser, Hadli Yeiser, Lincoln Yeiser, and Henry Yeiser; as well as her great-grandchildren; Asher Skaggs, Denver Skaggs, and Joseph Yeiser.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, and again from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19 with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery.
