Ruth Ellen Wilson

Ruth Ellen Wilson, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on November 3, 2014. She was born in Philpot on February 15, 1943 to the late Orville and Susie Purcell Crowe. Ruth was a member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Wilson; brothers, Donald Crowe and Julian Clayton Crowe; and sister, Barbara Jean Cox.

Survivors include her son, Randy Wilson; granddaughters, Amanda Dawn Wilson and Jamie Renee Wilson; great-granddaughter, Destiny Leshae Wilson; great-grandson, Javion Anthony Wilson and Caiden James Foreman; sister, Wilma (Jimmy) Brown; and brother-in-law, Jimmie Cox, and sister-in-law, Louise Crowe.

Services will be at 12:00 pm Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Thursday and from 10:00 am until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
