Ruth M. Quinn

Ruth Quinn, 75, of Owensboro, died on June 16, 2014. She was born on September 12, 1938 to the late James B. and Agnes McGovern Sr. She retired as a Medical Transcriptionist after 44 years. Ruth enjoyed her family, church, Wallace's music, traveling, and gardening. She was also a member of the Altar Society.

Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, James B. McGovern, Jr.; sisters Imogene Quinn, and Bridget Higdon.

Ruth is survived by her husband Wallace Quinn; step-son Jack Quinn of Nashville, Tennessee; step-daughters, Cindy Collins (Wavie), Jana Quinn of Owensboro; step-grandson, Bradley Quinn of Owensboro; brothers, William Phillip McGovern of Owensboro, John McGovern, of Filer, Idaho; sisters Mary Young of Hawesville, Martha Hamilton of Owensboro, Mildred McGovern of Nazareth, Ann Johnson (Frank) of Evansville, Rita McGovern of Owensboro, Marie Ratliff of Phoenix Arizona, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 12pm at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 4-8 pm with prayers at 6:30pm and on Thursday from 9-11:30am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory,

Memorial contributions may be made to Dream Riders of Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
