Ruth Ann Colbert

Ruth Ann Colbert, 59, of 715 Sycamore St., Owensboro, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born April 12, 1946 to the late Samuel Chester and Ruby Snell Roberts in Butler County. She was a member of Maceo Baptist Church, enjoyed working with flowers, gardening, country music and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Roberts in 1999 and Sidney Roberts in 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Horn of Yelvington, Donna Hamilton of Beaver Dam; one son, Thomas Adkins of Smiths Grove; four grandchildren; a companion, George Putnam of Owensboro; two sisters, Peggy Rice of Owensboro, Gidget Trull of Eupora, MS; three brothers, Charlie, James and Larry Roberts, all of Cynthiana, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 AM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, being laid to rest in Tuck Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
