Russell Scott Hoyt

Russell Scott Hoyt, Sr., 43, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Russell was born in Daviess County and had been a concrete worker with Owensboro Transit Mix. Russell played guitar, composed songs, loved country music, drove race cars at Kentucky Motor Speedway and was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Ann Hoyt and Alvin R. Jones and his grandson Aiden Lee Young, who passed away March 30, 2012.

Survivors include his children Russell Scott Hoyt, Jr., Heather Marie Hoyt, and Erica Hoyt; his brothers, Norman Lee Hoyt, and Tracy Wayne Hoyt; his sisters, Sylvia Clary, Tammy Kennedy, and Patricia Aguilar; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Russell will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
