Ruby M. Westerfield

Ruby M. Westerfield, 95, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 23, 1920 in Rockport, KY to the late Rube and Myrtle Maple. She was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed cooking. She was retired from the General Electric Co. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Westerfield on January 1, 1984, her sons, James Allen Westerfield on May 15, 2004 and Larry C. Westerfield on May 23, 2015, and a sister, Naomi Lawson.

Surviving are four grandchildren, Byron C. (Gayla) Westerfield, Kimberly Dawn Westerfield, and Lori (Bob) Sterge, all of Owensboro, and Larry Todd (Linda) Westerfield of Columbia, S.C., six great grandchildren, Carroll (Jesse) Dean, Jessica (Elmer) Penrod, Paul Allen (Lauren) Westerfield, Matthew Westerfield, Maggie Goldsberry, and Andrew Sterge, seven great great grandchildren, and a sister, Pauline Reeves of Louisville.

Services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, November 24, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
