Ruby Lambert Ward

July 15, 1927 — March 25, 2004

Ruby Lambert Ward, 76, of Lewisport, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Heartland Villa. The Daviess County native was a homemaker; member of the Riverside Baptist Church; taught Sunday School for more than 45 years; worked at G.E. during the 1950s; and loved her farm and farming. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles M. Lambert in 1972, her second husband, Kenneth Bradshaw, and a brother, Delbert Muffett.

She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Harold Ward; a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Debra Lambert of Owensboro and Haubstadt, IN; a grandson, Max Parkinson of Haubstadt, IN; four step-children; 13 step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Orville Muffett of Owensboro and Kennard Muffett of Fordsville; two sisters, Marcella Nicely of Owensboro and Rachel Estes of Lewisport; two brothers-in-law, Jim Lambert and Les Lambert of Owensboro; and a sister-in-law, Martha Lambert Taylor of Lewisport; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 29, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Sunday and after 12 Noon on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Riverside Baptist Church or to Hospice.
