Ruby G. Pritchard

Ruby G. Pritchard, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at her home. She was born on October 13, 1922 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Onnie and Penelope Winkler Smeathers. Ruby was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had been an antique dealer for a number of years. She had worked at the Windmill Flea Market and enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales. She also had worked at the Glenmore Distillary and for Nationwide Food Services at General Electric. She especially loved spending time with her great grandchildren and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Pritchard on January 24, 1980, a sister, Jewell Hughart, and two brothers, Kenneth and Thurman Smeathers.

Surviving are a son, Gary Dale Woods and wife Deborah of Lewisport, three grandchildren, Christina Woods of Maceo, Shawn Woods and wife Tonya of Owensboro, and Gidget Hudson and husband Troy of Scottsdale, AZ, four great grandchildren, Corbin and Erin Woods of Owensboro, and Byranna and Haley Cirrincone of Maceo, a sister, Opal Daniels of Owensboro, and her Senior caregiver, Wanda Hill of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 15 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
