Ruby Elizabeth Parman

November 23, 1913 — March 31, 2006

Ruby Elizabeth Parman, 92, of 324 Tamarack Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006 surrounded by loving family members. She was born on November 23, 1913 in Beaver Dam, Ky. to the late Timothy Redmon & Cora Felix Black. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired as a Dept. Manager in retail sales for several different businesses. She moved to Owensboro in 1939 and married her husband, Henry Oland Parman on September 21, 1940. He passed away in 1971. She raised her family and worked in Owensboro until retiring in 1983. She loved gardening, crocheting, and reading and was a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Truman Black, and two sisters, Mabel Jackson and Ruth Young.

She is survived by sons, Gerald Parman of Owensboro, and David & wife Marlene Parman of Denver, Colo., daughters, Charlotte Ahrenholtz of Laramie, Wy. and Sarah & husband Howard Stimely of Fort Collins, Colo., grandchildren, Carol & husband Keith Wilson and David Parman, all of Owensboro, Noah Parman of Denver, Ben Parman & Ian Stimely both of Fort Collins, and great grandchildren, Zac Brown & Samantha Green, both of Owensboro.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was and will always be dearly loved by her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
