Roy Douglas Heflin

Roy Douglas Heflin, 92, born on March 25, 1917, to the late Clyde and Lela (Whittinghill) Heflin of Ohio County, Kentucky died on April 28, 2009, at Rosewood Health Care of Bowling Green, KY. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Heflin, Richard Heflin and Vernie Heflin and a sister, Ruby Heflin.

Roy was a retiree from General Electric and an Army veteran of World War II.

Roy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara "Jean" Barnett; son, Gary Heflin and his wife Linda Cheli Heflin; grandchildren, Astra Heflin Daugherty and Aaron Brent Heflin; great-grandchildren, Madison Carby, Kate Carby, Dylan Daugherty, Selena Daugherty, and Cheli Heflin all of Bowling Green, KY; brothers, Ivan Heflin of Littleton, CO, Ishmel Heflin of Wooster, OH, Drexel Heflin of Portage, IN, Alton Heflin of Madisonville, and Walton Heflin of Hartford; and twin sisters, Edith Clark of Wooster, OH and Edath Kessinger of Naples, FL.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
