Roy C. Crowson, 74, of Owensboro died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born December 9, 1930 in Chattahoochee, FL, Mr. Crowson was the son the late Ellis and Lee Audra Collins Crowson. A devoted husband and father, he was retired from Commonwealth Aluminum where he was a paint line operator for 23 years. He was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church; the Winsome Sunday School Class; was former president of the Senior Adults of Bellevue; and a member of the Godly Old Mens Group. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Crowson, Herbert Crowson and Troy Crowson, and a sister, Betty Chase.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Coston Crowson; two daughters, Debby ( and her husband Steve) Fuchs of Owensboro and Deanie ( and her husband Steve) May of West Grove, PA; two sons, Tim Crowson of Owensboro and Miles ( and his wife Kerri) Crowson of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, David Bradfield, Bethany Crowson, Joshua May, Waylon May, and Jordan May; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Bradfield and Jacob Bradfield; a brother, Howard Crowson of Portsmouth, VA; and two sisters, Doris Mullins of Ashland, KY and Jeanette Rodman, Portsmouth, VA.
Funeral services are 11 A.M. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Bellevue Baptist Church with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Friday and 9-10:30 A.M. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bellevue Baptist Church Building Fund.
