Roy Augustus Cain

July 7, 1927 — September 21, 2001

Roy Augustus Cain, 74, of 617 Breckenridge St, Owensboro, died September 21, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Grayson County native was a farmer and retired from Miles Farm Supply. He was of the catholic faith, enjoyed raising a garden, NASCAR racing, fishing, and farming.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mabel Louise Cain; one son, Michael Cain of Henderson; four daughters, Peggy Moyer of Indianapolis, Cynthia Cain of South Bend, IN, Cathy Rice and Michelle Cain of Owensboro; two step-sons, Tim Freshwater and Ernie Hardy of Owensboro; two step-daughters, Robbin Neal of Owensboro and Ann Hardy of Coshocton, OH; a brother, Tony Cain of Owensboro; several half-brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sunday, September 23 at 2:30 P.M. at the Glenn Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Saturday and after noon on Sunday. Prayers will be 7 P.M. on Saturday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
