Rowland Andrew "Bitty" Powell

Rowland Andrew “Bitty” or “Bubby” Powell, age 75 of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Twin Rivers Nursing Home. He was born on September 6, 1950, to the late James Powell, Sr. and Agnes Griffith. Bitty was an avid sports fan, especially University of Kentucky Wildcats and horse racing.

In addition to his parents, Bitty is preceded in death by his grandson Kellen Terrell Powell, brothers Leroy Powell, Dwight Powell, James Powell, Kenneth Powell, Darryl Powell, and sister Doris Allen.

Bitty is survived by his wife Mary Powell; son, Jason Powell (Jamie), son, Mason Powell, stepson, Mark Rowan (Stella) Lexington; stepdaughter Carmen Howard, stepdaughter Lynn Darnes (Steve), stepdaughter Brittany Voyles (Joe), sister Dianne Thomas, his loving and devoted Aunt Sylvia Whitlock (Frank) a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

He retired from Ragu Food Service. Bitty was deeply cherished by family and friends.
