Rosetta Cates Crask

Rosetta Cates Crask, 74, of 3041 Curdsville Delaware Rd., Owensboro, passed away Sunday at Wellington Parc. Born March 13, 1933 in Webster County, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mary Hillyard Cates; was a 1951 graduate of Nebo High School; and in 1954, graduated with an RN degree from Murray State College in association with Owensboro Daviess County Hospital School of Nursing. She practiced her nursing at Owensboro Daviess County Hospital, Dr. Harold Schupbacks office, Hermitage Nursing Home, and the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center from where she retired in 1994. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class; and the church choir. Mrs. Crask loved going to the theater and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Crask was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug and Ruby Crask.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Bobby William Crask; daughters, Sheila (Brian) Hudson of Wichita, KS, Patricia (John) Hudson of Owensboro, and Jennifer (Jim) Cherolis of Salvisa, KY; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Robert Hudson; Kyra and Zane Hudson; Victoria and Isabella Cherolis; sisters, Naomi Knox of Madisonville, Lou (Jerry) Krietzer of Evansville and Sharon (Jimmy) Harris of Madisonville; sisters-in-law, Shirley Cates of Hartford and Delene Cates of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 P.M. Wednesday and after 9 A.M. on Thursday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
