Rose Mary Wilkins

September 4, 1921 — December 10, 2004

Rose Mary Abell Wilkins, 83, of 750 Worthington Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Herman & Nettie Abell. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and loved reading her prayer books, the Bible, and saying the rosary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and loved her dog, Willie T, and reading. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick & Jesse Abell and a sister, Jean Reisz.

Surviving is her husband of 62 years, James L. Wilkins, Sr., a daughter & her husband, Nora & Bill Lee of Owensboro, three sons & their wives, James & Brenda Wilkins, Jr. of Buck Creek, and Jesse & Debbie Wilkins and Billy & Carolyn Wilkins, all of Owensboro, two sisters, Geneva Kathern Whittinghill of Hopkinsville, and Jane Sosh of Owensboro, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with entombment following in Rosehill Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday with prayers at 6:30 P.M. and after 11:00 A.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
