Rose Ann Roberts

Rose Ann Roberts, 90, of the St. Lawrence Kentucky Community, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Carmel Home. She was born in Daviess County, September 21, 1919 to the late Rapheal Johnson Jr. and Julia (Wathen) Johnson.

She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, gambling, working puzzles and brightening people's days with her sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Roberts Jr. in May of 1990, a daughter Judy Catherine Roberts in November 1946, a son-in-law Charles Conder in 2007, a great-grandson Alex Conder in April of 2005, and sisters, Martine York, Mary Edna Payne, Eunice Corley, Winfred Roby, and brothers Owen Johnson and Vincent Johnson.

Surviving are seven daughters, Zula Conder, Martha Hardesty (Frank), Bernice Christian (Don), Irene Nealen (Vincent), Margie Duncan (Rick), Sylvia Kuegel (Bruce), Kathy Shaver (Mike), all of Owensboro. Two sons, Jerry Roberts (Janice) and Stanley Roberts (Barbara), both from Philpot. Twenty five granchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, a brother, Lawrence Johnson and sisters, Bernadette Melton and Marie Fulkerson.

Funeral services will be at St. William Catholic Church in Knottsville, Kentucky on Wednesday at 11 o'clock with burial following at St. William Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm, with prayers at 7 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
