Rosa Lee Richardson

April 25, 1934 — December 4, 2012

Rosa Lee Richardson, 78, of Owensboro passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her home. She was born in Ohio County, KY to the late Seth and Rilla (Morgan) Rhoades.

She worked at G. E. for 19 years and later retired from the Campbell Club after several years of service.

Rosa loved the Lord, had a strong faith and attended Abundant Life Church in Bremen, KY. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed U.K. Basketball and NASCAR Racing. Rosa loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren.

Preceded by her husband of 54 years, J. D. Richardson in 2008; sisters, Oma Dean Oost, Louise and Opal Rhoades; and brothers, Lewis and Gordon Rhoades.

Survived by her children, Skip Richardson (Gena) of Hartford, KY, Betty Frey, Dennis Richardson, Deborah Gilmore (all of Owensboro) and Pamela Lindsey (William) of Bremen, KY; grandchildren, Frankie (Jennifer), Mandy and Aaron (Lacey) Richardson, Jeff White, Cassie Cecil (Brian), Derrick Glass (Lori), Chris Tague (Carolyn), Michael (Amanda), Robert and Eric Lindsey (Lauren), Bridgett Nance (Adam) and Brittany Risinger (Zach); 18 great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Rhoades (Patricia) of Hartford, KY; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, December 7 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Larry Hamby will officiate. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 - 8 PM and on Friday after 9 AM at the funeral home.
