Rosa R. Gabbard

Rosa R. Gabbard, 80, of 230 Cardinal Lane, Owensboro, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2007 at her home. She was born in Lee Co., Ky. to the late Robert C. & Mary Ann Townsend Rose. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from KenRad and General Electric after 42 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed spending a lot of time with them. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gabbard on October 26, 1987, and two brothers, Millard Rose and Colby Rose, both in 1987.

Surviving are two sons, Gary & wife Faye Gabbard of Owensboro and Kimble Kim Gabbard of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Carey Lynn Brown, Michael Wayne & wife Caryn Gabbard, Robert Samuel Gabbard, Ashley Michelle & husband Scott Shown, and Aleah Rose Gabbard, all of Owensboro, six great grandchildren, Caleb Craig Brown, Corey Lynn Brown, Chloe' Alexis Brown, Cylee Nicole Brown, Charles Robert Charlie Gabbard, and Luke Allen Shown, and an aunt and best friend, Ila Mae Townsend who lived with her.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 19 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
