Ronnie Ray Spanky Kirk, 39, of Owensboro, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at his home. Born May 5, 1965 in Daviess County, Mr. Kirk was the son of Junior Kirk and the late Linda Lindsey McKinney. He was of the Baptist faith and worked at the Opportunity Center as a carpenter. Mr. Kirk enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and country music. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda McKinney in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Rebecca Deno Kirk; three daughters, Canasa Todd, Christa Kirk, and Pennie ( and Reginaldo) Urbina all of Owensboro; a son, Ronnie Ray Vickers of Owensboro; step-daughter, Misty (and Robert) Bray of Owensboro; six grandchildren; his father, Junior (and Loretta Rhoades) Kirk of Owenbsoro; three brothers, Tommy ( and Catrina) Kirk of Beaver Dam, Darryl Kirk and Michael (and Janice) Kirk of Owenbsoro; half-brothers, Sam (and Sharon) Lindsey and Tony McKinney of Owensboro; his step-father, Edward McKinney of Owensboro; mother-in-law Dorothy (and Willie) Henderson of Owenbsoro; father-in-law, Bobby (and Norma Welch) of Owensboro; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Whitaker, Peggy (and Allen) Simon, Marlene Proctor, and Janie (and Coy) Roach all of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 5 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-5 P.M.
