Rondal J. Horton

Rondal J. "Bub" Horton, 65, of Pleasant Ridge passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born December 10, 1944 in Daviess County, he was the son of the late James and Myrl Jackson Horton; was retired from Lanham Brothers Construction where he worked for 10 years after operating Horton Construction for many years. Mr. Horton enjoyed NASCAR, working outside, restoring old autos, especially Mustangs, and woodworking projects. Mr. Horton was a very strong, determined man who instilled that same trait in his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Horton.

Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Faye Carroll Horton; a son, Alan (Elaine) Horton of Temple, TX; a daughter, Becky (Ray) Renfrow of Pleasant Ridge; grandchildren, Aaron (Jessica) Horton, Andy (Sara) Horton, Adam (Rachel) Horton, Alex Horton, Jeremy Davenport, Brian (Breanna) Davenport, Jennifer (Justin) Geary, and Brittany Renfrow; great-grandchildren, Hadley Geary and Clay Horton; and sisters, Joyce (Roy) Westerfield of Pleasant Ridge, Betty (Mark) McDonald of Bowling Green, Shirley (Ray) Singleton of Lawrenceburg, Bonnie Horton, Margie Ward, and Lorie (Jerry) Ward all of Pleasant Ridge.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Kenny Rager officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Carmel Cemetery in Pleasant Ridge. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday and after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
