Ronda Ruth Iracane

The family of Ronda Ruth Iracane (Graham) announces with deep sorrow her passing on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 14, 1940, in Sturgis, KY, to the late John "Red" and Mary Virginia Graham, she was raised in a loving household that nurtured her into the remarkable woman she became.

Ronda graduated from Sturgis High School in 1958 and continued her education at Western Kentucky University, where she earned a degree in business education in 1961. She married Joseph Angelo Iracane on August 18, 1962, and together, they spent 61 wonderful years as partners, sharing a life filled with love and adventure. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, marked by mutual respect, support, and countless cherished moments.

Her career as an educator spanned 31 years, with the majority in the Business Department at Owensboro High School, where she taught typing and shorthand. Ronda's impact extended beyond the classroom as she mentored and inspired countless students, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students was evident in the way she approached her work, always going above and beyond to ensure their success.

Known affectionately as Nonnie to her grandchildren, she found immense joy in watching them thrive in their various activities. Her unwavering support and selflessness were constants in their lives. Her grandchildren knew they could always count on her for love, guidance, and the occasional homemade treat. She attended every recital, game, and event, always cheering the loudest and offering words of encouragement. A dedicated fan of the Owensboro Red Devils, Ronda remained steadfast in her support for the team long after her children and grandchildren had graduated.

Ronda cherished the time she spent with friends, especially Wanda Anderson, Minnie Lou Covington, JoAnn Penrod, and her entire "lunch bunch."

Preceding her in death were her parents, John "Red" and Mary Virginia Graham, her sister, Beth Weidner, and her infant son, Joseph Angelo Iracane Jr. Despite these losses, Ronda's love and memories will continue to comfort all who knew her. Her strength and resilience in the face of loss were a testament to her character, and she remained a pillar of support for her family and friends.

Ronda valued her role as a mother above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Iracane, devoted children, Amy Iracane Hunt (Jeff) and John Iracane (Ashlie), both of Owensboro, KY. She also leaves behind her loving brothers, Johnny Graham of Louisville, KY, Judge Bill Graham, and Kenny Graham (Nancy) of Frankfort, KY. Her seven cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Jenna, and Jacob Hunt, and Jack, Paul, A.J., and Annie Ruth Iracane, along with 10 beloved nieces and nephews, held special places in her heart. Ronda's family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense joy and fulfillment in nurturing and supporting them.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care and support during Ronda's final days, including Laci, Becca, Robin, April, Debbie, Janet, and all other saints disguised as caregivers.

Ronda embodied love and compassion, welcoming everyone she met with open arms, regardless of race, background, or circumstances. Her love, compassion, and life lessons will remain in the hearts of all she touched. Ronda's legacy of kindness and dedication will be cherished forever. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the many lives she impacted, and her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
