Ronald Douglas White Jr.

Ronald Douglas White Jr., 60, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his home in Owensboro, KY. He was born in Daviess County to the late Wanda Thurby and Ronald Douglas White Sr and his adopted mother Edith Rhodes.

Although Randy was disabled for the last two decades, he spent many years under the hoods and behind the paint guns for many cars for multiple businesses in the Daviess County area. Everyone knew him to be the galvanizing factor in most conversations he took part in. You never met anyone who came across his path that didn’t know or remember who ‘Big R’ was.

He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Thurby in 1999, his father Ronald Sr. in 2009, his nephew Jamison Hanks in 2023 and his ‘Mammy’ Edith Rhodes in the early to mid-1990’s.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle White; brother, Donald White, sister; Denna White, sons; Alex and Eric White; grandchildren Aliyah White, Amelia White and Konner White; nieces and nephews Heather Roberts, Ryan Alexander, Luke Alexander, Brandon Hester, Marissa Hester and James Hayes Jr.

The funeral service will be at 02:00 PM, Saturday, December 14th at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
