Ronald Douglas Shepherd

Ronald D. Shepherd, 86, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born May 20, 1938 in Carrollton to the late James Stanley and Mary Henry Shepherd. Ron was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and was retired as Senior Vice-President of the former Owensboro National Bank. He enjoyed boating, vacations to the beach, antique collecting, and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Ava Shepherd in 2019 and a daughter, Rhonda Marlowe in 2010.

 Surviving is a daughter, Leigh Ann Shepherd of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Maleah Nunez (Devin) and Connor Shepherd, all of Owensboro; and his caregiver, Edward Stewart of Owensboro.

 Memorial services for Ron will be 4 PM Saturday, August 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 PM until the time of the service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
