Ronald Edward Lamotte

Ronald Edward "Ron" LaMotte, 69, of Canterbury Road, Owensboro, Died Monday, November 14, 2011 at his home. He was born in Detroit, MI. and the son of the late William and Evelyn ( Carr ) Tafflinger Ron dedicated his life to the nursery business since 1954. He was the former owner of Waterfalls Landscaping in Jeffersonville, IN., and Owner of Ron's Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance in Owensboro for 15 years. He was presently a consultant for Tim LaMotte and Charles Smith, at Ohio Valley Landscaping. He had a passion for growing plants, talking to people and playing pranks. He never missed a day of work in his life.
He was preceded in death by an infant son Ronald LaMotte II and a daughter, Jessica LaMotte.
Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Shirley Smith LaMotte, and his children, Elizabeth Ann Goodlet, Samantha "Sandy" Crandell, and Lisa LaMotte, all of Charlestown, IN., Ronald "Ronnie" (Julie) LaMotte III of Henryville, IN., Charles "Charlie" (Christy) Smith and Timothy "Tim" (Kimberly) LaMotte of Owensboro, an aunt, Theda Calahan, cousins, Barbara Wolfe and Cal LaMotte , all of Farwell, MI, 16 grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 Friday, November 18, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation from 12 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Online condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
