Ronald Francis Greenwell, 55, of 4231 Kuegel Lane, Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on January 18, 1950 in Daviess Co., Ky. He was a Pastoral Associate and Youth Minister at St. Stephen Cathedral where he was a member. He served in the United States Army from 1970 till 1976 and the Kentucky National Guard from 1984 till 1987. He was a graduate of Brescia University Ministry Formation Program in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the Cathedral youth, and his parish family. He loved woodworking and gardening. He was a Eucharistic minister and lector and volunteered as a catechist in the St. Pius X sacrament program and R.C.I.A.. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Francis Greenwell on July 23, 2002 and his father, Robert Thomas Tom Greenwell on March 9, 1998.
He is survived by his spouse of 30 years, Nancy Terry Greenwell, and his daughter, Jessica Marie Greenwell, his mother, Mary Elizabeth Clark Greenwell of Owensboro, his siblings and their spouses, Fred & Connie Greenwell of Owensboro, Paula & Don Ward of Whitesville, Patsy Greenwell of Sorgho, Donna & John Wedding of Whitesville, Lucinda & Ken Johnson of New Prague, Mn., Monica & Jerry Wilson of Pleasant Ridge, Diane & Tim Roberts and Rita & Max Adams, all of Owensboro, Dan & Beth Greenwell of Stanley, Roch & Karen Greenwell of Owensboro, a sister-in-law, Martha & the late Tom Zoglmann of Owensboro, a brother-in-law, Kenny & Kim Terry of Owensboro, brother-in-law, Charles Wesley & Linda Cook of Beaver Dam, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 23, at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
