Ron Jones

Ron Jones, 78, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Signature Health Care Hillcrest. He was born in Muhlenburg County to the late Altha and Marjorie Jones.

Mr. Jones was a custom home builder who operated Hayden Park Developers prior to retirement. He was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he would be known to many as the man who was very committed to making coffee every Sunday morning. His brothers and extended family formed the "Old Men's Club" which gathered every Saturday morning. Ron enjoyed rebuilding cars, car shows, Bradford Pear Trees, fishing, reading newspapers from many places and spending time with grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Gaylen Jones, Katherine Wright, Lindel Jones, Shirley Brant and Diane Littell.

Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Bobbe Ryan Jones; a son, Tony Jones and his wife, Katrina; a daughter, Susan Brumley and her husband, Ben; grandchildren, Katie Davenport and her husband, Daniel, Brad Drury, Zachary Brumley, Kelcey Early and her husband, Joey, Justin Brumley and his wife, Megan, T.J. Jones, Will Brumley and Abbie Brumley; great-grandchildren, Easton, Levi, Grayson and Harper; brothers, David Jones and his wife, Carol, Jim Jones and his wife, Minnie; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 12 Noon Monday, May 2 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 5 PM and after 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
