Rollie Darrell Wade, 82, of Owensboro died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Southwind Healthcare in Booneville, IN. Born in Daviess County on December 5, 1921, Mr. Wade retired from the United States Postal Service after 31 service. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Beacon Sunday School Class. He was a World War II veteran and enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Simmons Wade in 2002 and a son, Rollie David Wade in 1986; and a brother, Robert L. Wade and sister, Opal Taylor.
Mr. Wade is survived by a daughter, Norma and husband David Bracher of Boonville, IN; a son, Dale Alan and wife Mary Wade of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Cynthia Cohoon, Darrell Wade, Jennifer ODell, Amber Wade, Christina Greer and Serena Beck; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Etta McLevaine of Owensboro.
Funeral services are 11 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. David Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 9 A.M. at the funeral home.
