Roger Pufahl, 84, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on August 7, 2025 at Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Fisher, Arkansas to the late Carl and Ruby Jo Pufahl. He was a lifelong hard worker and a generous man.
Roger married Sandra Jagoe Calhoun and together they served the Lord for 25 years. We rejoice knowing that Heaven is his home.
Mr. Pufahl proudly served in the U.S. Marine corps during the Cuban crisis and continued to serve four more years. He worked for Green Coal Company, Hagerman Electric and retired from Kimberly Clark. Roger was a self-taught mechanic and was quick to help others.
He was skilled in upholstery and furniture restoration. Roger was a member of Good Shepherd Church and served in various positions.
Roger Leon is survived by his sons Tony Pufahl (Kim) of Marion, Arkansas, Mike Pufahl of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, his daughters Teresa Fagan (Willis) of Livermore, Kentucky and Della Elizabeth Pufahl of Owensboro, Kentucky. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Regan and Dawn Calhoun, Jagoe and Jeannie Calhoun, Denver and Sara Calhoun and his sister-in-law, Linda Jagoe of Louisville, Kentucky. Roger’s extended family includes 60 grandchildren and their wives; and great grandchildren.
The graveside service for Mr. Pufahl will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
