Rodrick A. Butler

R. A. Butler, 74, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Breckenridge Co. to the late Frank and Maggie Cahill Butler. Mr. Butler was retired from carpentry work and tobacco farming. He enjoyed spending time with his son and grandkids, and all his family, and was a U. S. Army veteran. He also raised a garden every year, enjoyed playing with his dogs, and being outdoors. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Butler on March 1, 1997, his daughter, Robin Quisenberry on January 20, 2005, and three brothers, Stoy, Gene, and Carl Butler.

Surviving are his son, Rodrick Butler, Jr. and wife Carla of Utica, five grandchildren, Kassie Quisenberry, Rodrick "Trey" Butler III, Alexis Hall, Corey Quisenberry, and Ashely Butler, two sisters, Freda Haire of Reed and Agnes Wood and husband Wally of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following at Utica Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
